Twitter reported unusual access patterns similar to those of recent sophisticated NYT hacks. They discovered one live attack and were able to shut it down in process moments later. Unfortunately, some limited data, usernames, email addresses, session tokens and encrypted/salted versions of passwords were compromised for approximately 250,000 users.
