Trending tweets with Twylah

January 11th, 2012 by David Bradley >> 1 Comment

I mentioned Twylah back in October 2011 when I first set up my trending tweets page with their assistance. It’s a fascinating notion: arrange and rank your tweets by level of engagement and side-step the transient stream so that the best content gets seen for longer. Within a day or two of setting things up on a sciencebase.com sub-domain, Google had begun to spider the pages.

I was hoping for great things and maybe some great things are happening. Google now has well over 10,000 cached pages from my Twylah sub-domain. My twitter follower count is still rising steadily by a couple of dozen new people each day (as it has done for a couple of years). Twitter Counter tells me I’ll have 15k followers before the end of January 2012 and it will only be 1,991 days before I reach my first 100,000 ;-)

What do you think? Have you got a Twylah or other 3rd party page? Is it helping your traffic and engaging your readers?
