Tips from Google Guy Matt Cutts

If you have ever wanted to know what Google really thinks with respect to searching, SEO, and web spam, then no doubt you will have come across the name Matt Cutts on your travels. Here’s Mr Cutts, - or is it Dr? - running through some hot tips for optimizing your Google searches. In the video he discusses the purpose of double quotes, dashes, plus signs, tracking numbers, flight numbers, and for H2G2 fans, the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

    Speaking of Google…you may have noticed I finally got around to fixing the search box (top right of the sidebar) for the Sig Figs site. Looks like it’s working fine at this end, anyone want to do a test search and let me know how they get on. Firefox, phishing, wordpress, and related terms are bound to get a few matches on this site.

    Nice sentiment Kourosh, not sure it’s ever likely to happen although you can drop me a line and I’ll add you to my list ;-) I’m also not entirely sure what this has got to do with Matt Cutts’ tips on searching the web with Google, but there you go…
