Tip Fix Competition

Tip fix competitionA few of my favorite posts in the Sciencetext archives are probably a little dated now and may need updating. Trouble there are almost 400 posts covering everything from iPhones, Wordpress, and XP to Blogspot, spam, Alexa, and zip files, so it’s a never-ending task to bring any that have not dated well right up to date again. Which is where you, dear reader, can step up to the breach and help and earn a little link juice in return.

Below are just ten great Sciencetext tips from the past that may not be entirely up to date. If you spot a fatal flaw in the argument or discussion leave a comment to correct or update the tip with new relevant information. Start your comment with the phrase Tip Fix and the first person to update the information in at least five posts with a useful addition will get a free link with a keyphrase and and URL of their choice on the site’s homepage (Google PR5, Alexa 117k, Compete 276k). The link will stay live for six months.

Please note that links to adult, gambling, and other undesirable sites will not be considered. The Editor’s decision is final, in the event of a tie or any dispute. Competition will close once one person comments on at least five posts or US Labor Day, whichever comes sooner.

Not quite a flaw but I’d suggest adding Nod32 to the list of antivirus programs in “little known ways to speed up windows.” Interesting challenge which we’ll get to work on in the morning.

Thanks for the idea Green, I checked out a few reviews of Nod32 and apparently it’s av abilities are very good but its antispyware characteristics are merely second tier. Still if anyone wants to check it out for themselves - nod32
