Take control of your notifications

January 19th, 2012 by David Bradley >> No Comments

Email notifications from Facebook, twitter, etc, etc can get annoying especially if you’re a busy bee, or more to the point a social butterfly. We mentioned a page of links for checking authorisations recently called MyPermissions. It seems that someone has done the same for notifications.

Visit the page and click a link to take you to the appropriate page for cleaning up notifications so that you can check what activities on each site will generate an email and remove it if you don’t want to receive endless emails. The site doesn’t get your logins it’s just a page of links to the page you need to clear out Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Youtube, Foursquare, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, Meetup, Dribbble(show and tell for designers), Ebay, Forrst(developer site, with an arboreal theme) notifications.
