TagMyDoc integrated with DropBox

I wrote about the TagMyDoc QR app on Sciencebase back in November 2011 and had a lukewarm response from readers, one of whom said that it wasn’t really anything that couldn’t be done with conventional QR codes and a DropBox account.
Well, I just had an update from Camille Hartley at TMD who tells me they have upgraded the system to allow uses to use tagged documents in their Dropbox and Box accounts as well as add tags using a Microsoft Office Add-in.
TagMyDoc has password-protect documents, comments, statistics, and “Follow Document” system. I’d be interested to hear whether anyone has used this system over the last year or so or whether the new integration with DropBox etc would persuade them to do so. I think much of the tech blogoshere is already over QR, so not sure…
