Secret Seven Meme

Ari Herzog tagged me for one of those blogging memes (substitute your own expletive for the word “blogging” here). Apparently, I’m to reveal seven secrets about myself. That’s kind of an oxymoron though isn’t it? Once you reveal a secret, it’s no longer a secret, so this meme post will fail to comply the instant that I publish it and the first reader hits the site to read it…oh well…ever the pedant.

Either way, here’s a list of seven secrets about me:

1. I am a Geordie, which means I was born within spitting distance of the River Tyne.
2. I play guitar, everything from classical to shredtastic thrash, badly.
3. I’m fine on rollercoasters, but I don’t like roundabouts.
4. I sing in a harmony group called Big Mouth, and we’re again performing “live” this Friday; but without last week’s Santa hats.
5. My home office faces West and so I get to see the sunset most working days and always get a melancholic feeling as it does, which I think goes back to being sent to bed early as a child. Parents, eh?
6. I’m an 8th Kyu in Karate, which sounds very impressive to those who don’t know, but it simply means I’ve graded successfully just twice and wear a nice orange belt with my Gi.
7. I never take part in those blogging meme games. D’oh!
