Here’s a Quick Way to Run PHP in Blog Posts
February 16th, 2007 · by David Bradley
runPHP allows you to write a post with embedded PHP code within, this is rather useful for displaying an external feed say, or creating a special post for displaying your links directory, among other things.
However, if you uninstall such a plugin at any time, for whatever reason, be sure to remove the php code from those scripts, otherwise your visitors will get an eyeful of code at the least and some very odd behavior from the the site as a whole at worst. I should know, the Digg-Netscape page over on Sciencebase.com simply stopped working properly and was displaying a load of raw php rather than the latest sci-tech news from those two social bookmarking site. A quick reinstall of runPHP was all that was needed
It also fixed a problem with the Links directory on that site, which was simply displaying as a list of empty posts with each link category as its title instead of the neat collection of links I’ve gathered together over there.
