Really live, live blogging

I just had a fascinating “conversation” about dreams with Dean Burnett and others on Facebook. The nub of the argument is whether dreams have a function in neurology and memory or whether or not they are simply random activity caused by metabolism or other factors. Needless to say, I couldn’t let such a fascinating discussion go unmarked and as it was unfolding on Facebook, I spliced together the various comments into a short blog post for SciScoop entitled The True Meaning of Dreams.
I let Burnett know I’d blogged the conversation and he picked up a few issues and commented on the blog, all the while the original conversation on Facebook continued where Burnett remarked that I’d been rather quick with the blog post and described my speed as “one hell of a turnaround time.” I jokingly remarked that I might blog about the fact that I’d blogged a Facebook conversation as it unfolded and Burnett responded that I might become stuck in a feedback loop that would have me blogging for the rest of my life. Well…that notion triggered this post…which brings the thought full circle and closes the feedback loop. I am now trapped and destined to blog about blogging about blogging about Facebook conversations about dreams about blogging forever. Actually, no. Time for breakfast…catch you later…
