Publish Your Blog on Kindle

May 16th, 2009 by David Bradley >> 2 Comments

Amit Agarwal revealed today that you can publish your blog on Amazon’s Kindle marketplace and make a few pennies if Kindle users subscribe.

It’s very easy to do, just sign up for an account, fill in an online form, add website details and a screenshot and away you go – https://kindlepublishing.amazon.com/

As Amit explains:

Kindle Blogs are auto-delivered wirelessly to the Kindle and updated throughout the day. They are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can read them even when you’re not wirelessly connected (offline reading). And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, Blogs on Kindle contain full text content and most images so you should submit full text feeds.

I have, of course, also now added Sciencetext Tech Talk on the Kindle system.

You too, eh? Leslie Poston (@geechee_girl on Twitter) mentioned this to me yesterday, that she did it too. I guess I’ll join your party and create a trio.

Amazon is charging $1.99 for Sciencebase, and I’ll get 30% apparently, so it’s not going to be a great moneyspinner, but if it gets my stuff read more widely, then that’s good thing.
