Protective suit supplied

November 28th, 2006 · by David Bradley

Thinking of studying graduate chemistry at Bradley University (no relation)?

Then, make sure you take a kick-boxing class first and get yourself a decent protective suit before you sign up for the analytical lab.

According to the University’s prospectus, one of the compulsory modules on the course includes ultraviolent visible spectroscopy. This presumably involves someone looking at your molecules through a prism while another lab member kicks two shades of shinola out of you.

Or, maybe it’s just a typo and they meant ultraviolet? I guess so, apparently “The Chemistry Department is well equipt” for these techniques.

X-ray fluorescent Tai Kwon Do is at 10 followed by a study period or warm down, and then there’s a Nuclear Magnetic Smash-yer-face-in-oscopy tutorial at 2…don’t be late or you’ll get a beating.
