Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. It could be the new Facebook…now that Facebook is starting to bore people not least because friends no longer seem to see the stuff their friends post. Anyway, Pinterest describes itself as letting you “organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web.” Although it’s invite only at the moment, people are already using their pinboards to plan weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

But, of course, this is the social web, so you can also browse other people’s pinboards. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
