Pi to how many decimal places?

PhysOrg reports on the ability of the number Pi to produce random numbers. Pi seems a good random number generator – but it isn’t always the best, says a news release relayed by the site. Physicists have not demonstrated that there is any pattern in Pi, but when compared to a chaos-based random number generator (such as flipping a metaphorical coin), Pi produces less robust random numbers. This could be particularly important to cryptographers hoping to exploit a random string in their code.
