Use Your Cellphone to Monitor Website Health

Do you have a website? A blog? You do? Wonderful! Is it online 24/7, 365.25 days of the year? You don’t know? Hmmmm. You could be losing visitors and repeat subscribers if you are losing uptime without realizing it. Which is where Site24×7 steps up to the oche. Site24×7, as the company name suggests, monitors your website or blog, 24/7 and lets you know, via its website, email, rss, sms text message on your cellphone, as soon as there’s an outage so you can fix the problem right away or get on to your site host to do their job,
The system basically pings your site at regular intervals (which you set yourself) and it then analyzes availability providing you with some nice charts on response times and outages too. It seems to work fine with the free login version, I haven’t tried any of the paid for services, but the chart above arrived via email and shows that my site has been pretty stable. It will be ironic if it’s down when you read this, of course, but then you probably won’t be reading this if it’s down, unless you’re viewing the RSS in a news reader.
