Cómo organizar sus fotos de Digital

¿Cómo usted organiza sus fotos digitales? Si usted es como mí usted no, usted acumula simplemente gigabyte sobre el gigabyte de imágenes que usted nunca consigue alrededor a clasificar o a marcar con etiqueta, recuerda de vez en cuando moverlos hacia atrás para arriba encendido a una impulsión dura externa o a CDes, o bien los deja que se sientan en su computadora que no hace nada más que tomando el espacio.

Obviamente, utilizo a mago de la imagen de Microsoft para descargarlos vía lector de tarjetas de destello compacto (no utilice una ranura en lector de los CF de PCMCIA, son muy lentos comparados a un lector de tarjetas dedicado del USB 2) y cuando lo hago yo generalmente dé a cada hornada un nombre basado el fecha junto con amplio tema, e.g. holiday-italy-Aug-2006.jpg, wedding-Apr-2005.jpg, y dejó a mago agrega números secuenciales.

Pero, las etiquetas genuinas que trabajan en a por base de la fotografía estarían mucho mejor de modo que cada foto distinta de esa hornada de la boda diera el nombre de el cual representan a la huésped, por ejemplo. Eso haría buscar para todos los cuadros de un amigo particular o relativo, o lo que, tanto más fácil. Sé que las imágenes de Google está explotando un juego de la clasificación como parte de sus esfuerzos de marcar todas las imágenes con etiqueta en la tela, pero ése no me ayudaría a menos que upload los 300 GB de broches de presión al flickr, que no se permite probablemente.

Así pues, en esta juntura, estoy buscando consejo, más bien que la distribución inclina. ¿Cómo usted organiza sus fotos digitales? ¿El álbum costoso de Photoshop lo hace para usted? ¿Qué sobre Picasa libre? ¿Hay otras herramientas libres que puedan permitir que usted marque rápidamente las fotos con etiqueta en hornadas? ¿Hay el software con todo disponible que puede hacer un cierto grado de reconocimiento en sus imágenes, aunque se basa solamente en histograma del color? Amaría saber. Mientras tanto, tengo otro 3 GB de fotos de un viaje reciente a descargar y etiquetar… o apenas las dejaré quizá como trip-2007.jpg

    Organizo también mis fotos no organizándolas. Utilizo Picasa para quitar el pics de mi tarjeta del xD (generalmente usar al lector incorporado en mi computadora portátil, pero a un lector del USB trabaja muy bien en otras computadoras). Ahorro el álbum con un nombre útil, y lo parto quizá luego (fácil) si he tomado diversas categorías de cuadros.

    However, Picasa seems a bit clunky for tagging a lot of images (maybe it’s just my aversion to repetitiveness?), although it has some nice features. It doesn’t have any sort of auto-recognition, which would be very nice.

    I occasionally use the album upload feature of Picasa to share some photos with family since it’s nice, fast, and easy to use, although the size and space are limited.

    Flickr is an excellent place for image archival, as they allow unlimited uploads I believe for a pro account, which is rather inexpensive per year. That’s unlimited, full quality, as-fast-as-you-can-upload storage, including the original at full resolution. They used to have a 10MB per picture limit, although I seem to remember that jumping up a bit recently. They offer good tagging, and even geo-tagging, but no image editing (although there are free tools that will edit online from your Flickr account; I have some saved in del.icio.us if you’re interested, let me know…I haven’t had time to try them though). Alternately, SmugMug.com has a nice unlimited upload, pay-overage-based-on-download-bandwidth service that’s more album-oriented than Flickr (which is more social oriented). They had unlimited upload before Flickr but I think it’s a matter of preference and cost now.

    Right now, I download my pics with Picasa, use SyncToy from Microsoft to make sure they’re also on my desktop as a backup, and my wife goes through them and uploads the best shots and at least titles them. That’s about as much organization as I have, because I’ve been known to take 1500 pictures in one weekend before, and it gets a bit time-consuming to touch each of those manually and add meta-data to all of them!

    I’m curious to see if you get any tips that are better than what I do because I’d welcome a better solution as well.

    I have all my pics stored in one folder and just create individual folders for each event, with event name and date. I also use Picasa.

    I don’t take a ton of pictures like you though. 300 gigs!??!?! Wow!

    Mr Networks, yes, that is similar to my approach, but when I import the images from my camera I also give them a tag-type name too, just to make identification and searching that little bit easier. A picture of a rose might be named flower-rose-082907.tif, for instance.
