There are proxies and VPNs across the globe that let you access blocked content from any country in the world. Hola does it differently by providing an overlay on the internet (using a browser extension) to let you hook up with other users to access TV, music and streaming from one country that is blocked in another for whatever reason. Its parent organisation Hola.org also reckons their system will speed up non-encrypted pages by about 10 times and as more people join things will only get faster. It doesn’t interfere with https pages (like your bank login, twitter, Paypal etc.
Surf to websites that are blocked by your country, company or internet provider, right now: Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, BBC iPlayer, iTV, CBS, Fox and more coming soon apparently. I realize there are laws and rules and regulations…but so many people ask how they can get to see an iPlayer video that I mention on Twitter or Facebook or whatever that I thought it worth sharing for contacts abroad who dare to look.
