Hide the Facebook sidebar ticker

Apparently, a few people are annoyed that Facebook changed again. No! Perish the thought. One of the things that they’re really, really annoyed about is constantly updating & scrolling ticker sidebar at the right-hand side that lets you know when everyone you know did even the tiniest little thing on Facebook. Why would that be annoying, especially if you only have a few hundred friends? I jest. It is irritating, vexing, annoying and a cause of much grief.
So, here’s a little grief counselling for those suffering this serious First World Problem: You can disable the ticker in your browser using some neat little tricks, such as a Greasemonkey script in Firefox, a Chrome extension or a hack in Safari or Opera. Still using Internet Explorer? Tough. Upgrade to a decent browser, why don’t you?
