Google Wave Singularity University

Futurologist Ray Kurzweil suggests that technology has for centuries increased in sophistication exponentially. He has written on the idea that we are fast approaching a singularity, not a black hole, but a point at which technology overtakes human creativity.
In his recent talk at the TED Conference he announced Singularity University. In his talk, you’ll hear him mention various intellects and organizations involved, including NASA and Google. And, in the same sentence he talks about the collaborative tools that will allow the University of the Singularity to function.
In watching Kurzweil, a light bulb was illuminated above my formerly hirsute cranium. Google Wave, which I first mentioned at the end of May, it occurred to me, is not simply Google’s efforts to reinvent the internet, circumvent the issues of operating system and to improve the user collaborative experience…it is THE beginnings of the platform that will allow SingularityU to function and develop. In essence, it is fledgling operating system of the coming singularity itself.
Biotechnology, supercomputing, nanotechnology, robotics, communications technologies and more are growing exponentially. They are providing the tools to change the world and solve global problems…Singularity U’s aim is to enable that as we move onward and upward technologically.
Am I giving Google too much credit, or did I spot a likely paradigm shift?

That’s exactly the conclusion I came to. I found your site by searching for ‘google wave singularity’
It is the platform for the singularity, I have no doubt. It changes absolutely everything.
