@Aryan Google Chrome is neat and tidy, but I'm afraid you're ill informed if you think that Internet Explorer is fading away. Chrome has taken less than a percentage of the browser share. Firefox has grown, but IE remains the main browser being used to surf the net.

Google chrome today is the best thing in the browsing arena. Internet explorer is gradually fading from the people's mind, (at least mine), the smoothness of google chrome is just commendable. It is clear that IE just can't stand against chrome.

Yes, if the Google Chrome logo is the least chromy thing anyone's seen (it looks like plastic sprayed with metallized paint), then that graphic to which you linked is definitely very, very chromy. Anyway, they obviously chose the word Chrome because that's what the gray menu parts in a browser window are called but I presume they forgot about the negative connotations of chromium(VI) (re Erin Brockovitch).

Hmm, it does look quite a bit like it. Unusual logo anyway - it's the least chrome-y thing I've ever seen, compared with this

They could have saved themselves the hassle and just googled "chrome" as I did ;-)

I'll be discussing the favicon plugin and the new logo later...got a sequence showing how I created it. I need to either make it wider or push it left and add a search/email box top right, but it's late, so that will have to wait.
