If you're only a follower on Twitter, keeping up with the news, celebs, or interesting tweeps, then ignore this, it really won't apply to you. I've gotten a number of what look like automated DMs thanking me when I follow someone/thing. Ik heb gekregen een aantal van wat eruit geautomatiseerde mailings bedanken me wanneer ik volg iemand / iets. Haven't bothered to reply to those! Heb niet de moeite om te antwoorden op deze!

Oh, Oh @arruniel suggests @ arruniel suggereert keeping tweets at less than 120 characters to allow others to retweet it easily. houden tweets op minder dan 120 tekens aan anderen in staat te stellen gemakkelijk retweet.

That's fair enough, they usually stand out as automated. Dat is eerlijk genoeg is, staan ze meestal zo geautomatiseerd. Carry on ignoring those. Carry on negeren deze.

I partially agree and partially disagree, David. Ik deels eens en deels oneens, David. For starters… Om te beginnen ...
1. 1. An interesting bio to one is uninteresting to another. Een interessante bio aan een oninteressant is naar de andere. If your mother could understand and/or like it, keep it. Als je moeder zou kunnen begrijpen en / of het leuk vinden, houden.
2. 2. There is nothing wrong with changing avatars. Er is niets mis met wisselende avatars. What if you get a new haircut? Wat als je een nieuw kapsel? What if you change your account from a personal one to a brand or vice versa? Wat als u uw account wijzigen van een persoonlijke een op een merk of vice versa?
3. 3. If you don't reply to a DM, someone will @ you. Als u geen antwoord op een DM, iemand zal @ je. If you don't receive the @, the DM was probably not genuine in want of a response. Als u niet ontvangen @, de DM was waarschijnlijk niet echt in willen van een reactie.

I reply: (1) Yeah, bios are subjective, which is why I used the word “interesting” who's to say what that is, eh? Antwoord ik: (1) Ja, dat zijn bios subjectief, dat is waarom ik het woord "interessant", die is om te zeggen wat dat is, eh? Best to have something that you think is “interesting” as opposed to nothing at all. Best te hebben iets dat je denkt dat het "interessant" in tegenstelling tot helemaal niets. (2) No, you're right, there's nothing wrong with changing avatars, if you're fairly well established, but I think they're a powerful branding tool and if you choose one it's best to stick with it, at least until you have a decent following across social media. (2) Nee, je hebt gelijk, er is niets mis met het veranderen van avatars, als je vrij goed bent ingesteld, maar ik denk dat ze een krachtige branding tool en als je kiest voor een het beste te houden met het, ten minste tot je een fatsoenlijk volgende over sociale media. (3) That's an interesting point. (3) Dat is een interessant punt. If someone really needs to tell you something, they'll find a way, if they don't bother, then you can ask was it worth their trying to say in in the first place. Als iemand echt moet je iets vertellen, zullen ze een manier vinden, als ze niet storen, dan kunt u vragen is het de moeite waard hun probeer te zeggen in in de eerste plaats.

I tend to agree with Ari regarding the avatar. Ik ben geneigd om in te stemmen met Ari met betrekking tot de avatar.
Recently I changed my profile photo because the photo I was using was about 4 years old. Onlangs heb ik mijn profiel foto veranderd, omdat de foto heb ik gebruik gemaakt was ongeveer 4 jaar oud. An update was needed because I wanted to portray the way I look NOW. Een update was nodig omdat ik wilde de manier waarop ik kijk NU portretteren. If only we could hold back the hands of time it might not be an issue! Konden we houden de handen van de tijd die het misschien niet een probleem!
We need to be flexible and remember that there are always exceptions to the rules. We moeten flexibel en onthoud dat er altijd uitzonderingen op de regels.
I'd like to add 2 more “don'ts”. Ik wil graag nog 2 toe te voegen "don'ts".
1. 1. Don't post 20 updates at one time and hog up my Twitter screen! Plaats geen 20-updates in een keer hog mijn Twitter scherm!
2. 2. If you only post quotes, how the heck will I get to know you? Als je alleen aanhalingstekens post, hoe the heck krijg ik u weten?

Eydie, okay, I'm hoist by my own petard. Eydie, oke, ik ben hijsen door mijn eigen springbus. My avatar is actually getting old and I guess I'm going to have to change it soon. Mijn avatar is eigenlijk oud en ik denk dat ik ga moeten het snel veranderen.
