Find Your Twitter Friends

twitter-friends-statsNot more Twitter! I hear you cry…well…yes…sorry…I’m a twitterholic, didn’t you know?

Anyway, this post highlights a twitter tool (or should that be twool?), that helps you see who you’re engaging with on twitter and in what ways your tweeting, it also compares you actwivity with that of the average @Josephine on twitter too. The tool Twitter Friends, lists the tweeps who you replied to the most and those that replied to you most frequently. It also gives you the numbers, tweets per day, stickiness, size of your network etc etc, and there are some pretty charts too.

So here are the top ten tweeps with whom I tweet (as reported on 2009-01-22)

  1. nikkipilkington – Because Internet Marketing Is More Than Just Good Design
  2. octane – British businessman, writer, PHP developer, web designer
  3. ariherzog – Online media strategist to business and government
  4. jonsatriani – A PR for chemistry (tough gig), recent Mac convert.
  5. tkpleslie – SM strategist for furniture industry.
  6. attilacsordas – Research scientist, biotech geek, life extension supporter.
  7. maverickny – Icarus Consultants, Pharma, Biotechnology
  8. alohaarleen – Create, write, design
  9. davemunger – I’m a writer. I blog at http://scienceblogs.com/cognitivedaily
  10. dyot – dad, climber, wannabe slacker, part-time lecturer

If you want to be on the list, then tweet me right now and get talking! I’ll update it periodically. For an ever-expanding list of the scientwists (science tweeps on twitter) check out 100+ Scientific Twitter Friends on Sciencebase. To get on that list you have to be in science (scientist, science educator, communicator) and retweet the link, click here for a ready filled tweet!

That’s a pretty cool tool (twool?). I didn’t really understand the Twitrank graph but the rest of the stats were interesting.
