Faster Internet for Christmas

December 25th, 2007 · by David Bradley >> Leave a comment

My good friend Chris Pirillo did a funny video explaining the benefits of OpenDNS to his Dad, he did the simple net connection tweak as a kind of Christmas gift for him and tries to explain how it didn’t involve installing any software upgrades and no switching of ISP. He explains how it is a protective service that protects his Dad from phishing sites (although not fishing sites) and other stuff as well as making web address lookup faster. I’ve covered OpenDNS before, but seeing as it is Christmas, here’s the video, just for you

By the way, all you have to do to take advantage of OpenDNS is change the DNS entries in your internet settings, it’s all explained in this post on taking back the internet, but you could maybe leave it till Boxing Day and get back to unwrapping your gifts now!

Happy Christmas from Significant Figures.
