Basically, you need to either be using the Facebook developer app or to start using it. Easy enough instructions and once you’re done you can add a cover photo (needs to be 851×315 pixels to work and fit properly). Needless to say, I’ve been messing around with my profile and enabled this feature and added a “cover” as well as updating my profile photo to fit better. Until they roll this out for all users, it will only be other people who’ve activated the developer app who will be able to see the new format.
