I’m giving CloudMagic, the Firefox addon and Chrome extension, another try after they updated the application. It now provides search across multiple services, Twitter, Gmail, Google Apps Email, Google Docs, Calendar & Contacts and gives you a unified view of the search results in the same browser tab for ease of use. It also lets you see search results as you type and it seems to be fast (once it’s indexed your various accounts.

One big advantage for those of us with several GMail accounts is that you can configure multiple accounts and search across all of them while nominally logged in only to one. A boon as I have an active business account, a personal account and an archive of old emails transferred to it via IMAP to save space on the active accounts.
