Best Hidden Gem (Almost)

January 15th, 2009 by David Bradley >> 1 Comment

best-hidden-gemSciencetext received a fantastic 278 votes in the 2008 Weblog Awards in the category Best Hidden Gem, thanks to everyone who voted. Right click the image and “view image” to see full size.

Sciencetext was a finalist but not the overall winner, but 278 was almost 4% of the votes and compares well with Hip Young Thing, Zuky, Susan Katz Keating, Dizzying Intellect, and the Median Sib, who all got more or less the same. But, none of us were close to the 2152 votes received by the winner The Pajama Pundit and 2nd placer Deadenders (1887 votes). So, well done to the winners and many thanks to all the Sciencetext fans who voted for the site.

Meanwhile, there’s still time to vote for me in the Shorty Awards science category under my twitter name sciencebase, I’m lying 4th among the five finalist, so please click this link to tweet your vote for sciencebase.
