Auto Patch Windows XP Vista
March 21st, 2007 · by David Bradley
Ever had to reinstall Windows, come on, stupid question, who hasn’t had to reinstall Windows? It’s a perennial favorite. Well, if you have and you’ve got your OS on CD but have to connect to the net to get all the myriad patches Microshaft seems to spew out on a monthly basis, then AutoPatcher could be just the thing you need. It allows you to download all the patches and updates before you ever have to do a reinstall, burn them to CD, and have the disk at the ready when the time comes for Window polishing.
It’s usually a worst-case scenario when it’s a friend’s PC and they’re on a dial-up connection, those patches would take forever to download if they ever were to be completed at all. Much better to have a CD to hand that can do the job offline.
Anyway, that’s where Autopatcher comes in. I’m not going to big them up any more, I’m not getting paid for this review after all, unless the company wants to get in touch and offer me something for my trouble.
